Flower Hill is an incorporated village in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, on Long Island, New York. It is divided into three areas, each with its own ZIP code: the west and southwest are in 11030 in Greater Manhasset, along with the villages of Plandome, Plandome Manor and Plandome Heights; the east and northeast are in 11050 in Greater Port Washington, along with the village of Munsey Park; and the southeast, bordering the villages of Roslyn and Roslyn Estates, is in 11576 in the Greater Roslyn area.
In 1930, its petition for incorporation began when word spread about Port Jefferson’s plans to incorporate as a city, as residents feared that Flower Hill would become part of it. After two failed attempts, it was incorporated as a village in 1931. New housing developments were built shortly after, and suburbanization continued after World War II.
Located roughly 18 miles northeast of Midtown Manhattan, New York City, Flower Hill today is a desirable community that offers a wide variety of real estate options, whether single-family homes or multifamily residences. The Schools

The southwest portion of the village is served by the Manhasset Union Free School District. Its three public schools — Manhasset Secondary, Shelter Rock Elementary and Munsey Park Elementary Schools — are respectively located in Manhasset, North Hills and Munsey Park.
The southeast portion is served by the Roslyn Union Free School District, whose district schools are in either Roslyn Heights or the village of East Hills.
