Beaches & Parks

Memorial Field is a 7.5-acre park and sports field on Fairview Avenue. Its facilities include a baseball/softball diamond, basketball and handball courts, 16 Har-Tru tennis courts, a soccer field, player’s lounge, playground, restrooms, benches and tables. There are maintenance and security personnel on site, as well as public Wi-Fi. The tennis courts open in the summer from 9 AM until dark, depending on the weather. Half the courts close around the 20th of November, and the rest close around the 15th of December.

The Parkwood Sports Complex features several sub-facilities: the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink, which offers skating classes, rentals, and parties; the Parkwood Family Aquatic Center, which features an Olympic-size pool, a Lazy River, and kiddie pools; the Parkwood Tennis Center, which has indoor and outdoor tennis courts; and the Recreation Center, offering a variety of amenities for sports and other recreational activities.
