Beaches & Parks

Hempstead Lake State Park is a multi-use facility that includes three notable bodies of water, Hempstead Lake, McDonald Pond and South Pond, all of which offer opportunities for fishing. It also has boat launches, horse trails, picnic pavilions, grills, ballfields, playing courts for basketball, tennis and pickleball, biking and hiking trails, playgrounds, snowshoeing/cross-country skiing and a historic wooden carousel.
